Legal
Acceptable Use Policy
A VPN and a browser are general-purpose tools. This policy describes the small set of uses that harm other people, and what happens when they occur.
Editable placeholder: Template document. Review with qualified counsel and align the enforcement steps with your own abuse-handling process before publishing.
1. Scope
This policy applies to all qikfox products and services and forms part of the terms of service.
2. Prohibited uses
You may not use qikfox products or services to:
- attack, scan, overload or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or network;
- distribute malware, ransomware or tooling whose primary purpose is compromising others;
- conduct fraud, phishing or impersonation, or operate a deceptive service;
- send unsolicited bulk messages of any kind;
- distribute material that sexually exploits children, or content that is illegal where you are;
- harass, threaten or stalk another person;
- infringe intellectual property rights;
- evade a suspension, share credentials beyond your plan, or resell access without agreement.
3. Reporting abuse
Abuse originating from a qikfox service can be reported through the contact page. Include timestamps in UTC, the addresses involved and any logs you can share; specificity is what makes a report actionable.
Vulnerabilities are handled separately under the responsible disclosure policy.
4. Enforcement
Where we confirm a breach, our response is proportionate: a warning, a rate limit, a feature restriction, suspension, or termination for severe or repeated conduct. Where a legal obligation applies, we comply with it. We may act immediately without prior notice where a breach causes ongoing harm.
5. What we can see
Our ability to investigate is limited by design: we do not retain the data that would allow us to reconstruct a user's activity after the fact. Our transparency commitments are described on the transparency page.
6. Changes
We will update the effective date and describe material changes to this policy.
