Refund and Cancellation Policy

When a qikfox payment can be refunded, how to cancel a subscription online, and the consumer rights that apply on top of this policy.

qikfox Cybersecurity Systems, Inc.
Effective date: 1 September 2026

Thank you for choosing qikfox.

This Refund and Cancellation Policy (the “Policy”) explains when you may receive a refund for a qikfox product or subscription, and how to request a refund or cancel a subscription.

The Policy applies to purchases by consumers and businesses in the North American markets where qikfox Cybersecurity Systems, Inc. (“qikfox”, “we”, “us” or “our”) offers its products. Our current operating region is North America.

For this Policy, “Products” includes qikfox software, subscriptions, and other digital products and add-ons. Additional qikfox credits purchased separately from a subscription fee are subject to the exception in section 5.

This Policy supplements the terms applicable to your purchase, including the Terms of Service. Nothing in this Policy limits any consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

1. Refund periods by plan type

1.1. Monthly subscriptions. Cancelling a monthly plan stops the next renewal. The month already in progress is charged and is not refunded, except where applicable law or section 7 provides otherwise. Access continues until the end of the paid month.

1.2. Annual subscriptions and other Products. You may request a full refund of an eligible payment within 30 calendar days after the payment date shown on your receipt or order confirmation. This applies to one-time purchases, initial annual subscription payments, annual renewals and paid upgrades. Separately purchased additional qikfox credits are excluded, as described in section 5.

1.3. Free trials. Where a subscription begins with a free trial, the refund period starts when you are first charged, not when the trial begins.

1.4. Use does not remove eligibility. Downloading, activating or using a Product does not, by itself, remove your eligibility for a refund within the 30-day period. You do not need to demonstrate a technical defect to request a refund during that period.

1.5. Timing. Your request must be submitted within the applicable refund period. A timely request remains eligible for review even if verification or processing takes place after that period ends.

1.6. Effect of a refund. When a refund is issued, the licence or access associated with the refunded Product ends, and future automatic renewal of a refunded subscription is cancelled. Refunding one Product does not cancel unrelated subscriptions.

2. Consumer rights in North America

2.1. Applicable federal, state, provincial, territorial or other local laws may provide additional cancellation, refund, warranty or payment-dispute rights. Those rights apply in addition to this Policy.

2.2. Where applicable law provides greater protection, a longer refund period, or a refund in circumstances not covered by our standard policy, we will honour those requirements.

2.3. The refund periods and the additional-credit exception do not limit mandatory rights relating to defective, misrepresented or undelivered Products, unauthorised charges, or other circumstances protected by applicable law.

3. Requesting a refund or cancelling a subscription

3.1. If you have a qikfox account. Sign in and open your subscriptions in the member portal. Each plan shows a cancel-renewal control and a refund request form. Cancellation is completed online in a few steps: there is no phone call, chat session or retention offer to sit through.

3.2. If you bought as a guest. Claim your account using the email address on your receipt and then use the portal controls above, or submit your request through the contact page and select the billing route. Either path is treated the same way.

3.3. What to include. Please provide your name, the email address associated with your purchase, the Product purchased, the transaction date and your order or transaction number if available. You may give a reason, but a reason is not required for an otherwise eligible refund within the 30-day period. We may ask for reasonable information needed to identify the transaction and verify your entitlement. Never send your account password or full payment-card number.

3.4. Purchases through resellers or payment providers. If your purchase was billed by an authorised reseller or third-party payment provider, submit your request using the refund or support details shown on that provider’s receipt. You may also contact qikfox for help identifying the right channel. Using a reseller or payment provider does not reduce the refund rights provided under this Policy or applicable law.

3.5. Refund amounts and processing. Approved refunds cover the amount actually paid for the eligible purchase, including associated taxes where applicable, but excluding non-refundable additional qikfox credits. Refunds are issued to the original payment method wherever possible, within 14 calendar days after approval or within any earlier deadline required by applicable law. If the original payment method cannot receive the refund, we will arrange an appropriate alternative. We do not charge a refund-processing fee.

3.6. What cancellation does. Cancellation stops future automatic renewal. Unless you receive a refund, request earlier termination, or applicable law requires otherwise, access continues until the end of the current paid subscription period.

3.7. Cancellation and refunds are separate. Cancelling a subscription does not by itself request a refund; use the refund form when a refund is what you want. Outside the applicable refund period, cancellation does not entitle you to a refund or a prorated refund for unused subscription time, except where required by law or expressly approved under section 7. Uninstalling a Product or stopping its use does not cancel a subscription.

4. Technical issues and product defects

4.1. If you experience a persistent technical issue or a material defect that prevents a Product from working as described, open a ticket in the member portal or use the Help Center and provide the relevant details.

4.2. We may offer troubleshooting or other assistance, but completing troubleshooting is not a condition of receiving an otherwise eligible refund within the 30-day period.

4.3. After the standard refund period, we will assess unresolved technical or product issues and provide any refund or other remedy required by applicable consumer protection law.

5. Additional qikfox credits, add-ons and one-time purchases

5.1. Additional credits are non-refundable. qikfox credits purchased for an additional payment beyond your subscription fee, including top-ups and additional credit packs, are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

5.2. This exception applies whether those additional credits are unused, partially used or fully used, and whether they were purchased with your subscription or afterwards. The 30-day refund period does not apply to these additional-credit purchases.

5.3. Subscription fees remain eligible. The additional-credit exception does not affect the refund eligibility of your subscription fee. Credits included as part of a subscription do not have a separately refundable purchase price.

5.4. Cancelling or receiving a refund for your subscription does not automatically entitle you to a refund for separately purchased additional credits. Entitlements and credits included in a refunded subscription end when the refund is issued.

5.5. Other paid add-ons and one-time Product purchases remain subject to the 30-day refund period. This Policy does not create any new expiry or forfeiture conditions for separately purchased additional credits.

5.6. Nothing in this section prevents a refund, correction or other remedy required by law, including for an unauthorised charge, a billing error, or a failure to provide the purchased credits.

6. Chargebacks and payment disputes

6.1. We encourage you to contact us about a billing problem so we have an opportunity to resolve it. Contacting us first is not a condition of exercising your lawful payment-dispute rights.

6.2. If you initiate a chargeback or payment reversal, we may coordinate with the payment provider to investigate the transaction and prevent duplicate reimbursement.

6.3. Where permitted by law, access to the Product associated with a disputed payment may be temporarily suspended while the dispute is reviewed.

6.4. Nothing in this Policy limits your lawful rights to dispute a charge with your bank, card issuer or other payment provider.

7. Discretionary refunds and policy abuse

7.1. We may consider refund requests outside the standard refund period on a case-by-case basis. Where a refund is not required by this Policy or applicable law, any refund offered is discretionary and does not create an obligation to approve similar requests in future.

7.2. We may decline requests involving documented fraud, attempts to obtain duplicate reimbursement, or deliberate abuse of this Policy, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Ordinary Product use or genuine dissatisfaction does not, by itself, constitute abuse.

7.3. Discretionary review does not replace or reduce an otherwise valid entitlement to a refund under section 1 or applicable law.

8. Updates to this Policy

8.1. We may update this Policy from time to time. The effective date identifies the applicable version.

8.2. The version in effect when a payment is made governs that payment. Changes will not retroactively reduce refund rights for purchases already completed. We will give notice of changes where required by applicable law.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

Mandatory consumer-law exception. The California governing-law and exclusive-jurisdiction provisions below do not apply to consumers resident in Quebec, nor to other consumers to the extent prohibited by applicable mandatory law. Nothing in this Policy removes your right to rely on mandatory local consumer protections or to bring a claim before a court whose jurisdiction cannot lawfully be excluded.

9.1. Subject to the exception above, this Policy is governed by the laws of the State of California and the applicable federal laws of the United States.

9.2. Subject to the same exception, disputes arising from or relating to this Policy are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state courts located in San Mateo County, California, or, where federal jurisdiction exists, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.

9.3. Nothing in this section restricts your right to contact a consumer protection authority or exercise any other non-waivable legal remedy.
