What we will not claim
Safety marketing is full of absolutes. We would rather be useful than impressive.

- We do not publish detection rates or test scores we have not produced or cannot cite.
- We do not use fear as a selling technique, or invent statistics to support a point.
- We do state limits plainly on each product page, and in the Trust Center.
Safety in depth
Internet safety, as qikfox defines it, is protection from deception and harmful content in the ordinary moments of a day: a link in a message, a page that imitates a bank, a file that looked like a document, a network you did not set up. It is distinct from security, which protects software and accounts from attack, and from privacy, which governs what is collected about you.
Safety, security and privacy are three different jobs
The three words are used interchangeably in marketing, which makes it hard for anyone to tell what a product actually does. We keep them separate. Safety concerns the content you encounter: deceptive pages, fraudulent offers, harmful downloads. Security concerns resistance to attack: software kept current, connections verified, accounts protected. Privacy concerns data: what is collected, why, for how long, and who can see it.
Keeping them separate has a practical consequence. It means we can say plainly which product covers which job, and where a job is not covered at all. A browser cannot inspect the contents of a file already on your disk. A scanner cannot tell you that the page in front of you is imitating your bank. A VPN cannot stop a script inside a page from recording activity on that page.
The decision moment is earlier than most products assume
By the time a warning page appears, a person has already decided to go somewhere. Interruption at that point works, but it is expensive: it breaks a task, it demands a judgement with little information, and repeated often enough it trains people to click through.
So we push help earlier. qikfox Search shows what is known about a destination next to the result, before the click. qikfox Safe Browser checks pages as they are requested rather than after they render. Downloads are handed to qikfox Antivirus at the moment they land, not the moment they are opened. Each shift moves the decision to a point where the person still has context and has not yet committed.

Where safety technology reaches its limit
Every protection layer described above is built from signals: reported pages, known file patterns, behaviour resembling software designed to hide. All of them are strongest against what has been seen before and weakest against something built this morning for a small number of people.
That gap is not a defect to be marketed away; it is the shape of the problem. It is also why our guides teach habits that do not depend on any list - verifying through a channel you chose, installing software only from a vendor's own site, treating urgency as a reason to slow down. Products reduce exposure. Habits close what remains.
